Onboarding & Payroll Process Optimisation Program
The Onboarding & Payroll Process Optimisation Project aimed to deliver the change required to streamline and simplify processes, improving customer and employee experience for priority processes and reduce processing time. It did this through re-engineering processes, eliminating waste, removing complexity, enabling active management through better performance data and identifying opportunities for automation and optimisation through technology enablement.
Sprint 1 - Onboarding Processes (November - December 2022):
• Initial mapping of 12 processes within Establishment, Recruitment, Onboarding, and Induction concluded at Christmas break.
• Project priority changed in late December 22 to focus on Increments and Progressions (Sprint 2)
• Sprint 2 commenced late January 23.
Sprint 2 - Increments & Progressions (Jan to March 2023):
• Synoptic provided process analysis and redesign specialist services within a wider DPE Project Team focussing on Performance Measurement & Intelligence, Process Re-engineering, Solution Design, Technology Enablement and Automation, and Change Management.
• Over 8 weeks we;
- Identified and documented 5 current state Increments and Progressions processes, inputs, outputs,
- Identified pain points and Quick Win solutions,
- Provided input to the DPE Solution development backlog,
- Completed time and motion analyses to baseline current performance and identify key metrics,
- Defined future state processes and a transition plan.
