Process analysis and improvement within Workforce Planning function

Senior Consultant under a partner company TP3 delivering an analysis of current business processes and systems within the Workforce Planning & Employment Unit of the Organisational and Workforce Development Department of the TAFE. 4 Key Functional areas were included;

• Workforce Planning (Organisation Management & Organisation Review),
• Employee Services (Payroll processing),
• Recruitment (Hiring & Exiting Staff),
• HR Administration (a broad range of supporting sub-functions).

Achievements;
o The Process Inventory identified nearly 130 business processes across these functions, of which 40 were selected for further detailed analysis and improvement, utilising the following prioritisation criteria; Organisational Risk, Business Impact, and Customer Service.
o A systems inventory identified 22 I/T Application Systems supporting these 4 Key Functional Areas.
o Unfortunately, owing to a restructure, the project was put on hold, and has yet to recommence.
